Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Pending License accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Experience with cardiac post-operative patients, including post CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR, temporary pacemakers, epicardial wires, and chest tubes. Description: Can sign for 36 or 48 hours per week. The step-down unit provides care to adult patients requiring or who have already received cardiothoracic surgery. Common procedures include coronary artery bypass graft, mitral valve repair, aortic valve repair, aortic aneurysm repair, Maze procedure, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, heart transplant, and left ventricular assist device implant. The nurse to patient ratios vary from 1:3 to 1:5 depending on patient acuity. The position requires strong critical care skills, including telemetry and management of IV drips. The unit supports an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Floating within the service line is required based on facility needs. Travelers must not have more than 7 days of requested time off during the contract. All certifications must be finalized at the time of submission. Face covering may be required based on facility guidelines. Candidates must not have any additional request for schedule changes after submission. RTO is not allowed during the first week of assignment. About Cynet Health
